URI to name biotech labs the Amgen Biolabs in ceremony April 28

WHO: Governor Donald Carcieri, URI President David Dooley, URI Dean Nancy Fey-Yensan, and Amgen Vice President Kimball Hall, along with faculty, students and industry representatives.


WHAT: A dedication ceremony to name the teaching laboratories at the URI Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences the “Amgen Biolabs” to recognize the support Amgen has provided to URI’s biotechnology research, education and outreach programs. During the ceremony, a plaque will be unveiled, and tours of the labs will be offered.


WHEN: Wednesday, April 28 at 11 a.m.


WHERE: The Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences on the URI Kingston Campus, 120 Flagg Rd., Kingston, R.I.
