KINGSTON, R.I. – October 8, 2008 – The University of Rhode Island’s College of the Environment and Life Sciences will host a live wolf program entitled Mission: Wolf on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium in Quinn Hall on the URI Kingston campus.

The event will include a visit with Maggie, a timber wolf, and Abraham, a year-old wolf hybrid.

The Mission: Wolf program features a slide show and discussion about wolf biology and behavior, ownership of wolf hybrids, and the issues surrounding wolf preservation and re-introduction.

The program is presented by the staff of Mission: Wolf, a non-profit wolf sanctuary in the Wet Mountains of southern Colorado that is home to 40 captive born gray wolves and wolf-dog hybrids.
