URI to celebrate milestone in construction of $75 million pharmacy building

Topping out ceremony set for Wednesday, Nov. 10


WHO: Gov. Donald L. Carcieri, Commissioner of Higher Education Ray DiPasquale, URI President David M. Dooley, URI Vice President For Administration and Finance Robert A. Weygand, URI College of Pharmacy Dean Ronald P. Jordan and URI pharmacy students and alumni.


WHAT: Topping out ceremony for the $75 million pharmacy building. The last steel beam will be put in place, completing the steel framework for the building slated to open in 2011. It will be the second major part of the new health and life sciences district in the northern portion of the campus.


WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, 11 a.m.


Where: Adjacent to the construction site on the plaza between the Chafee Social Science Center and the Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences, 120 Flagg Road, Kingston.
