URI professor says R.I. economy improves in July

WHAT: The third quarter began in exactly the way we wanted it to: with the Current Conditions Index improving, moving once again into the expansion range of greater than 50. The Index was 58 for July. For now, at least the state does not appear to be stuck in neutral.
