URI police officer to take plunge for Special Olympics

WHO: University of Rhode Island Patrolwoman Erica Vieira, members of police, fire and corrections personnel from around the state.

WHAT: The Torch Run Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity to support Special Olympics athletes by taking a plunge into the frigid waters of Easton’s Beach.

Individuals participating in today’s events will raise funds that help support Special Olympics Rhode Island events and athletes in their sports training and competitions throughout the year. To make a pledge to Officer Vieira visit her website at http://www.firstgiving.com/ericavieira
