The gardens will be open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on both days, rain or shine, for Rhode Island’s only statewide garden tour.
Guidebooks, which serve as admission and include garden descriptions and directions, cost $20 and must be purchased in advance. They are available at numerous garden centers around Rhode Island or from the URI Outreach Center on the Kingston campus. The guidebooks can also be obtained by calling 401-874-2900.
Each garden will showcase a particular type of gardening based on the Master Gardener’s interests. All Master Gardeners will greet tour participants in their gardens, ready to share horticultural information and answer questions.
Participants will find helpful gardening tips and resource links in the guidebook.
The garden tour is sponsored by the URI Master Gardener Association, a 1,000-member, all-volunteer service organization of certified URI Master Gardeners whose mission focuses on education, outreach and sustainability. Proceeds will benefit the educational programs of the URI Master Gardener Association.
