URI Master Gardeners open gardens to visitors for Rhode Island’s only statewide garden tour, July 18-19

WHO: Dozens of Master Gardeners trained by the University of Rhode Island, and up to 2,000 members of the general public expected as visitors.


WHAT: Thirty-nine private and public gardens designed and maintained by gardeners trained through the University of Rhode Island’s Master Gardener program will be open to the public for the fourth biennial “Gardening With The Masters,” Rhode Island’s only statewide garden tour.


WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, July 18-19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.


WHERE: The participating gardens are in scattered locations throughout Rhode Island, including seven in Newport County, five in Bristol County, seven in Providence County, six in Kent County, and 15 in Washington County.
