URI in tune with Fall River Symphony Orchestra

The University of Rhode Island and the Fall River Orchestra are in tune with one another. Ann Danis of Cranston, URI professor of orchestral activities, is the orchestra’s artistic director and director. URI alumna Christina Dickson-Brownell, concertmaster and violinist earned her undergraduate degree in 2003 and her master’s in music degree in 2007. Her husband, Richard Brownell, percussionist, graduated from URI in 2004. The West Warwick couple recently soloed during a recent performance at the Bristol Community Arts Center.
