URI Honors Colloquium postpones cricket match, Indian food festival because of weekend rain

KINGSTON, R.I. – October 2, 2009 – Because of Saturday’s forecast for rain throughout the day, the coordinators of the University of Rhode Island’s Honors Colloquium on India have postponed the cricket match and India food festival originally scheduled for tomorrow, Oct. 3.

Sunday, Oct. 4 was the rain date for the event, but the forecast for rain also washed out that as an alternative.

College of Business Administration Professors Ruby Roy Dholakia and Nikhilesh Dholakia and College of Engineering Professor Arun Shukla, the coordinators of “Demystifying India,” a free series of lectures, performances, will announce a new date for the cricket exhibition and food event when they work out the logistics with the various participants.
