URI economist’s index reflects ‘fairly strong’ momentum

Current Conditions Index hits 67 for second straight month


WHAT: Think of the Current Conditions Index values as the number of cylinders on which the state’s economy is running. For February, the state was operating on eight cylinders out of 12, a healthy number. So Rhode Island’s cyclical momentum continues to be fairly strong.
