URI economist says state’s 3rd quarter disappointing
WHAT: After registering a series of strong values in 2017, the Current Conditions Index for 2018 has had only two very high values, 92, for February and May. The lowest value for 2017 was 75, but six of the nine months this far in 2018 have either matched or fallen below that value. In fact, the index dipped to 67 in August and September of this year, a huge drop from the 92 registered in each of those two months last year.
