URI economist: ‘Rhode Island’s economy remains at virtual standstill’

WHAT: It is no longer clear whether Rhode Island is still in a recovery or has moved into the earliest stages of a double-dip recession. Payroll employment has now declined for seven consecutive months on a year-over-year basis.
