KINGSTON, R.I. — May 12, 2006 — Tiverton residents will be able to learn about the Town’s proposed, voluntary septic system maintenance program at a public workshop to be held at the Tiverton Town Hall on June 6 at 7 p.m.

The town is hosting this interactive public forum at which staff of URI’s Onsite Wastewater Training Center will present information and answer questions about the maintenance and functioning of septic systems.

Specific questions that will be covered include: Are septic systems affecting my drinking water? How do I keep my septic system functioning? Are there septic system options for difficult sites? And what is the town’s policy about cesspools?
