URI College of Business Administration seeks nominees for Hall of Fame

KINGSTON, R.I. — October 28, 2003 — The University of Rhode Island’s College of Business Administration is seeking nominations for the 6th annual Hall of Fame Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 6 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza at the Crossings in Warwick.

Priority for membership in the Hall of Fame will be given to alumni of the College of Business Administration, other alumni of the University and non-alumni including state and regional business and government leaders.

The primary consideration used by the selection committee is the distinction the nominee has achieved through his/her career or through his/her contribution to their organizations. Currently, there are 27 members of the Hall of Fame including former Gov. Lincoln Almond; Cynthia Deysher, president, Deysher Advisory Services; Steven Elterich, president, Fidelity eBusiness; Alan Hassenfeld, chairman and CEO, Hasbro; Anthony Rose, president and CEO, Technical Industries and Robert Russell, CEO of RUSCO Steel.

Nominations should be submitted along with supporting materials by Nov. 5 to the University of Rhode Island, College of Business Administration, Office of the Dean, 7 Lippitt Road, Kingston, R.I., 02881-0802. The members of the Hall of Fame Selection Committee are Andrew Laviano, chair; Frank Budnick; Nik Dholakia; John Dunn; Allan Graham; Mary Hamilton; Mark Higgins; Mark Lehrer; Scott Lloyd; Spencer Martin; Micheala Mooney and Deb Rosen.
