LAURELS AT THE LEGISLATURE: Rhode Island Representatives Donald J. Lally Jr., South Kingstown-Narragansett, left, and Joseph Almeida, Providence, pose recently with URI accounting students who captured first place in a competition at the 29th Annual Minority Business Conference sponsored by the Boston Metropolitan Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants. Lally sponsored a resolution in the students’ honor and had the group recognized before the House of Representatives. “URI has a saying, ‘Think Big. We Do. Well, these students Thought Big and They Did,” Lally said.
