URI business students honored by Rhode Island legislators for win at accounting conference

KINGSTON, R.I. — February 27, 2014 — URI students are honored by Rhode Island Legislators for their big win at the 29th Annual Minority Business Conference. A URI accounting team took first place at the conference sponsored by the Boston Metropolitan Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants. The event was held October 26.

This was the first time URI students have participated in the student case competition, which is normally dominated by Boston area business schools such as Babson and Bentley, a fact that the URI win even more satisfying.
