URI Brain Fair March 18 explores science, health, wonder of our brains

Who: The University of Rhode Island’s George & Anne Ryan Institute for Neuroscience is sponsoring the URI Brain Fair as part of Brain Week Rhode Island. The free, family-friendly event is produced in collaboration with researchers, faculty and students from departments and colleges across the campus, including engineering, health sciences, pharmacy and music. Also participating are representatives from the Alzheimer’s Association of Rhode Island and the Association of Migraine Disorders.

What: The URI Brain Fair is an interactive, free, family-friendly event exploring brain science and health: Participants can experience motor learning with the help of prism goggles, take a 3-D tour of the brain, take a virtual tour of living with dementia and find out what foods support brain health. These are just some of the demonstrations and activities that the URI Brain Fair will offer to those curious about brain science and health.

When: Sunday, March 18, 2018, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Avedisian Hall/College of Pharmacy, 7 Greenhouse Road, Kingston campus
