University to hold campus open forums for finalists for vice president of administration post

KINGSTON, R.I. — November 26, 2003 — The University of Rhode Island will begin a series of on-campus interviews for the four finalists seeking the post of vice president for administration. Each of the candidates will spend at least two full days at the University in interviews with various administrators and groups. Tours are also scheduled for each candidate.

Campus community forums for the four candidates are set for:

Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 9 a.m., Galanti Lounge in the University Library, Eugene A. Gilchrist, the assistant to the president and vice president for new ventures at the University of Louisville, Louisville, Ky.

Friday, Dec. 5, 9:15 a.m., Galanti Lounge, Daniel Morissette, former senior vice president and chief financial officer, the Chicago Medical School.

Friday, Dec. 12, 9:15 a.m., Multicultural Center, Hardge Forum Room, Stephen W. Long, associate director for administration and executive officer of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

Wednesday, Dec. 17, 9 a.m., Galanti Lounge, Robert A. Weygand, president and chief executive officer, New England Board of Higher Education.

Those attending will be able to ask questions of the candidates and review their resumes.
