Tonight’s URI Honors Colloquium talk by U.S. Homeland Security official canceled

KINGSTON, R.I. – Oct. 14, 2014 – Tonight’s talk at the University of Rhode Island by Roberta Stempfley, deputy assistant secretary of the Office of Cybersecurity and Communications at the Department of Homeland Security has been canceled due to a speaker emergency. The talk was scheduled as part of the University of Rhode Island’s Honors Colloquium.


The Colloquium, titled “Cybersecurity & Privacy, resumes Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. with a panel discussion on Cybercrime headlined by Congressman Jim Langevin. The free public lecture will be held in Edwards Hall, 64 Upper College Road, on the Kingston campus, as part of URI’s 2014 Honors Colloquium, “Cybersecurity & Privacy.”
