How can you help your students translate their classroom learning and accomplishments into the development of a professional online career image? In this workshop we will explore resources and tools that are available for students, faculty and staff as they develop professional presence on the Internet and create online career portfolios.

Building upon the first iPad workshop, the conversation about using this tool (and others) to enhance student learning continues. Join in for pragmatic and successful approaches.
• Thursday, Nov. 3, 3:30 p.m. Chafee 208. Let’s Make a Wiki: An Interactive Workshop. Brett Rutherford, Distance Learning Program coordinator and Kathleen Torrens, associate professor of communication studies.
This workshop is an interactive event where all participants work to construct a wiki using Sakai’s wiki tool. You’ll do a little advance work, bringing to the workshop some resources on a prescribed topic. How better to learn than by doing?
