KINGSTON, R.I. – Dec. 4, 2018 – Renowned forensic scientist Henry Lee, who has worked on such famous cases as the O.J. Simpson trial and the murder of child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, will speak at the University of Rhode Island’s Forensic Science Partnership Seminar Series Friday, Dec. 7, on the Kingston Campus.

Lee, founder of the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science at the University of New Haven and formerly the chief criminalist for the state of Connecticut, will discuss some of his most famous cases.

Lee, who is credited with helping law enforcement agencies solve more than 6,000 cases, has been involved in some of the most high-profile investigations in the last 40 years. Along with the Simpson and Ramsey cases, Lee has worked on such cases as the murder of Helle Crafts, also known as the “woodchipper murder,” the investigation into the death of White House Counsel Vincent Foster, and the Washington, D.C., sniper shootings.

Lee has lectured extensively and is the author of hundreds of professional journal articles and has authored or co-authored more than 40 textbooks on forensic science.

The lecture, free and open to the public, is 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Room 100 of the Richard E. Beaupre Center for Chemical and Forensic Sciences, 140 Flagg Road, Kingston.
