R.I.’s First Gentleman Andy Moffit to be guest reader at URI’s Pat Feinstein Child Development Center in Providence

WHO: Andrew Moffit, Rhode Island’s first gentleman, will read a book to children at URI’s Pat Feinstein Child Development Center to recognize Week of the Young Child sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

WHAT: The center is celebrating Week of the Young Child. Among the child-centered activities are yoga, crazy hat day, outdoor play and a visit to Grace Church, also on Westminster Street. The other readers throughout the week are parents.

WHEN: Thursday, April 14, at 9 a.m.

WHERE: URI’s Pat Feinstein Child Development Center, 255 Westminster St., Providence, R.I.


“This week we’re focusing attention on the needs of young families and children throughout the country,” says Delia Hall, center director. “Early childhood programs are crucial to laying the foundation for success in children’s later lives.”
