Pride in URI Night returns to McCoy Stadium Aug. 16

KINGSTON, R.I. — July 20, 2006 — Baseball, food and fun are the lineup for what has become an annual tradition at McCoy Stadium—Pride in URI Night.


This year’s festivities for alumni and friends of the University will take place Wednesday, Aug. 16. The Pawtucket Red Sox will play the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Red Barons at 7:05 p.m.


Gates open at 5 p.m. for the all-you-can-eat buffet. Be among the first 4,000 fans to enter the stadium and receive a free PawSox jersey.


Rhody the Ram will be on hand with numerous URI athletic coaches to meet and greet the kids. The URI Alumni Association and the Rhode Island Rams Athletic Association are the sponsors.


Last year’s event sold out, with 480 alumni and friends helping to pack the stands. Don’t be left out this year, register online at http://advance.uri.edu/alumni/events/pridenight/


Tickets for dues-paying members of the Alumni Association are $20.70 for adults and $10.80 for children 12 years and under. Tickets for those who aren’t dues-paying members are $23 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under.
