Physical Therapy Department to hold Open House

Students, community invited to learn about labs, clinics on Kingston campus

KINGSTON, R.I. – October 16, 2008 – The University of Rhode Island Physical Therapy Department will hold its annual Open House in Independence Square on the Kingston campus on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Faculty and staff members will be on hand from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. to discuss all aspects of the doctorate program. Visitors can view the facilities and learn about the services offered in the clinic.

Third-year students in the physical therapy program will make presentations on the projects they are working on.

“This is a chance for anyone interested to tour our facility and learn more about what we have to offer,” said Beth Marcoux, chair of the physical therapy department. “For those students interested in physical therapy, they can meet with current students and get their perspectives on the program.”

The event is free and open to the public. For more information about the physical therapy program, visit www.ptp.uri.edu or call 401.784.5001.
