Message from President Dooley, classes cancelled, April 1

The University of Rhode Island has cancelled classes at all campuses for tomorrow, Thursday April 1, due to the continued issues from the severe flooding and difficult traffic situations throughout the state.

URI offices will be open and staff members are expected to report to work. All non-essential staff who wish to stay at home will be required to discharge time under the ‘inclement weather’ provision, if they wish to get compensated for Thursday. On Wednesday, March 31 all non-essential personnel were granted “emergency administrative leave,” meaning that they did not have to discharge vacation or personal time and would be credited with a full day of work.

Please continue to monitor this web site for the latest information regarding opening and closing decisions.
