Last-minute holiday shopping?

URI art book will brighten any tabletop


KINGSTON, R.I. — December 14, 2009 —The University of Rhode Island’s tabletop book, the Presidential Art Collection, is now available for purchase online and just in time for last-minute holiday shopping.


The book contains the 40 pieces of art created by URI art students, faculty, and alumni that currently are displayed throughout URI President David M. Dooley’s and the Rev. Lynn Baker-Dooley’s home on the Kingston campus.


Biographies of each artist are also included in the book. Book proceeds will go to the URI Department of Art and Art History Scholarship Fund to help struggling student-artists.


Purchasers of the book have three options: a soft cover copy for $34, a hardcover with dust jacket for $49, and a hardcover with an image wrap (image printed directly on the cover) for $56.
