KINGSTON, R.I. – February 3, 2011 — The University of Rhode Island will resume classes on the Kingston Campus with those that start at 4 p.m. today, Feb. 3. All other campuses will resume with classes that start at noon.

Crews have been plowing, sanding and salting throughout the night and early this morning, but there remain several areas that need additional attention. Campus roads and parking areas are in substantially better shape than they were yesterday. Delaying Kingston Campus class resumption until 4 p.m. today will give crews a chance to sand and salt walkways to provide traction for pedestrians.

University officials emphasize that a full day of regularly scheduled classes will be offered Friday, Feb. 4 at all campuses and that they will begin at their regularly scheduled times.
