Hundreds to gather Saturday at URI for Diversity Summit

WHAT: URI Diversity Summit, a regional one-day workshop attracting about 500 students from colleges around New England and Florida.


WHO: Maura Cullen, consultant, higher education student affairs professional, and author of Thirty Five Dumb Things Well Intended People Say, will be speaking at this event. Cullen has had 25 years of experience as a diversity trainer/speaker at over 500 universities and organizations. She received her doctorate in Social Justice and Diversity Education from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst.


WHEN: Saturday, March 3, 2012, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


WHERE: Edwards Hall Auditorium, 64 Upper College Road, Kingston Campus
