Funeral services, arrangements announced for Assistant Chief Allan LePage of the Kingston Fire District

Funeral to be held Saturday at URI’s Ryan Center


The Kingston Fire District announced the funeral services and arrangements for Assistant Chief Allan LePage who died Tuesday after being injured in an accident Monday, June 29 at the fire station.


Visiting hours will be Friday, July 3, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, R.I. Firefighters are asked to assemble in the South Kingstown High School parking lot, 215 Columbia St. in Wakefield, no later than 3 p.m. The honor contingent will march from the high school to the funeral home. Class A uniforms are preferred, but Class B dress is acceptable.


Media are asked to check in at the command center at the Hazard School parking lot on School Street, Wakefield.


The funeral will be held Saturday, July 4 at 10 a.m. at the University of Rhode Island’s Ryan Center, 1 Lincoln Almond Plaza, Kingston, R.I. Doors to The Ryan Center open at 8 a.m. Burial will be private.

Weygand, URI vice president for Administration and Finance. “Assistant Chief LePage was the quintessential volunteer and mentor, offering his time and expertise without need of recognition or publicity. Hundreds of our students who have served as volunteer firefighters alongside Assistant Chief LePage benefited greatly from his guiding hand and practical wisdom. We owe this dedicated volunteer a deep debt of gratitude for his commitment to our safety and well being. We will greatly miss him.”


All vehicles, apparatus and color guards should enter URI from Route 138 at Plains Road, and proceed to the north entrance of the Ryan Center, where URI Police and Traffic officers will direct parking.


All guests should enter URI from Route 138 at Plains Road and park in the Plains Road Parking Lot. All guests must enter The Ryan Center via the North Lobby.


All media should enter URI from Route 138 at Plains Road and park in the Plains Road Parking Lot. Media are asked to check in with Diana Zanetto in the North Lobby of The Ryan Center to receive media pass. All media must wear media pass while inside The Ryan Center.
