Festival celebrates URI’s 125th anniversary with a bang

Event on the Quad includes music, food, activities and cannon fire

WHO: URI students, faculty, staff, administrators and the general public.

WHAT: 125th Anniversary Finale Festival on the Quad, with campfires, refreshments, music, hayrides, zip lines, an obstacle course and farm animals. Historically significant cannon fire will punctuate a brief speaking program that includes the unveiling of a plaque in honor of heretofore largely forgotten founder of URI. The first 350 guests who bring a canned good for the University’s food pantry receive a 125th anniversary scarf.
