Current Conditions Index declines in December

Posted on

WHAT:            The December Current Conditions Index of 75 is a slight decline from November (and much of 2017), but the yearly performance of a host of indicators has remained fairly good. But monthly trends are not very encouraging. The Index’s “improvements” in 2017 are not at all surprising, given that for two quarters of 2016, Rhode Island had very negative rates of growth (based on its real GDP).
