Will follow showing of Shanghai Women

KINGSTON, R.I. – MARCH 1, 2013 – Renowned Chinese screen writer and director Peng Xiaolian will speak Monday, March 4 at the University of Rhode Island.

The event, which features a screening of the film, Shanghai Women, will be held in the College of Pharmacy Building, Room 170, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Sponsored by the Harrington School of Communication and Media and the URI Film/Media Program, it is part of the class the Chinese and Hollywood. Xiaolian will introduce and discuss her film. The event is free and open to the public.
