Donna M. Hughes is a leading international researcher on human trafficking. Her work on the trafficking of women and girls for sexual exploitation extends beyond the United States to Russia, Ukraine, and Korea. Hughes consults with governments and non-governmental organizations on policies related to women’s rights. She has testified before the U.S. House International Relations Committee, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Moscow Duma, and the Czech Parliament.
Hughes is the editor in chief of the online periodical Dignity: A Journal on Sexual Exploitation and Violence.
